Today, on December 13, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar turns 63. Birthday wishes for his birthday and speedy recovery have started pouring on Twitter. On his 63rd birth anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wishes the leader, called him “compassionate, down-to-earth and hardworking”.
PM Modi Tweeted: “Birthday greetings to my friend and Goa’s CM @manoharparrikar Ji. Parrikar Ji is known for his compassionate, down to earth and hardworking nature. He is extremely passionate about Goa’s development. The entire nation prays for Parrikar Ji’s good health.”
BJP Chief Amit Shah and Union Minister Suresh Prabhu also tweeted on the account of Goa CM’s birthday and further wished him for a speedy recovery.
Manohar Parrikar has been recovering in Dona Paula at his home after he was discharged in October from All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi.
Mr. Parrikar has been advised complete bed rest by doctors, so the Goa CM will not celebrate his 63rd birthday in public. However, BJP has organized a special prayer in Panaji’s Mahalaxmi Temple and a blood donation camp in the state to mark the day for him.
Goa BJP spokesperson Kunkolienkar told the source that “There will be celebrations with special children from two schools – Disha Trust and People’s School for Special Children. Mr. Parrikar had been visiting these schools on his birthday without fail.”
After becoming an MLA, this will be for the first time that he will not be celebrating his birth anniversary in public.
