Prime Minister Narendra Modi will introduce several Infrastructural Projects in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on December 30.
By today evening, he will reach Port Blair and will visit the Tsunami Memorial at Car Nicobar the following day.
PM Modi will lay a wreath at the memorial and light a candle at the Wall of Lost souls, said a statement from PM’s Office.
There he will inaugurate an industrial training institute ‘Arong’ and will also lay the foundation stone for some infrastructural projects. The Prime Minister of India will also address a public meeting in Port Blair, it added.
Later in the day, PM Modi will lay a wreath at the Martyrs Column in Port Blair and will pay a visit at the Cellular Jail.
He will also host the high-mast flag at South Point, Port Blair. PM Modi will further pay floral tributes at the statue if Marina Park and Subhash Chandra in Port Blair city, read the statement.
At the Netaji Stadium, PM Modi will release a commemorative postal stamp, coin as well as the first day to mark the 75th anniversary of the tricolor flag hosting on Indian soil by freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also introduce the innovation and start-up policy for the islands.
PM Modi will also inaugurate a 7 MegaWatt Solar Power Plant and a solar village. He will further lay the foundation stone for several development projects and address a gathering, added the statement.
