From Bollywood, the Prime Minister urges popular Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Anushka Sharma, and Karan John was among others influence their fans to vote in April-May National Election.
The Prime Minister referred to popular movie dialogues while making the appeal, actor Akshay Kumar replied in the same manner, with the hit tagline, “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha”
Akshay tweets, “Well said @narendramodi Ji. The true hallmark of a democracy lies in people’s participation in the electoral process. Voting has to be a superhit prem Katha between our nation and its voters.”
PM Modi replied to his post, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Bhumi Pednekar, “Thoda Dum Lagaiye aur Voting ko Ek Superhit Katha banaiye.”
In another tweet, PM Modi tagging filmmaker Karan Johar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Shahrukh Khan said that “because… it’s all about loving your democracy (and strengthening it).”
With a short tweet, music composer AR Rahman wrote: “We will Ji. Thank you”
Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee said that voting in a democratic country is the “most powerful weapon in the hands of common people” and also asked his followers to exercise their voting rights in the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
Narendra Modi is seeking a second term in the General Elections, which will take place in seven phases from April 11 to May 19 across the nation. The final result of the elections will be announced on May 23.
