PM Modi condoles death of Public Relations Officer in PMO - TNBCLive

On Monday, a senior Journalist and Public Relations Officer in Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Jagdish Thakkar passed away.

72-years old Mr. Thakkar was unwell for few months, took his last breath at the AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) in New Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoles at the news of his death, says that Mr. Thakkar was an outstanding man, who loved his work and enjoyed working with his team.

PM Modi tweeted saying, “Extremely saddened by the demise of Shri Jagdish Thakkar, the PRO in the PMO. Jagdishbhai was a veteran journalist and I had the pleasure of working with him for years, both in Gujarat and in Delhi. He was known for his simplicity and warm-hearted nature.”

Mr. Thakkar reports that several journalists would have regularly interacted with the Public Relations Officer over the years would also feel sad at the news of his death.

Mr. Thakkar also had served many Gujarat’s Chief Ministers.

PM Modi added, “We have lost a wonderful person, who loved his work and did it with utmost diligence. Condolences to his family and well-wishers.”
