With political temperature rising high ahead of the Assembly Elections in Rajasthan, On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a jibe at Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi’s slip of the tongue when he had said that “Kumbhakaran Lift Yojana” instead of “Kumbha Ram Lift Yojana”.

PM Modi jibes at Mr. Gandhi’s mistake made at a public gathering in Sumerpur said that the Congress Chief did not even know Kumbha Ram, former Congress leader, and the freedom fighter. PM Modi further said that Mr. Gandhi does not have any clue about the names of his own party leaders.

The Prime Minister said that “Congress president does not even know the names of his own party leaders. He did not even know the name of a very popular farmer and Jat leader in Congress, late Kumbha Ram Ji. He called him ‘Kumbhakaran’. You can imagine what these kinds of leaders will do when in power.”

In Hindu Epic Ramayana, Kumbhakaran is a popular mythological figure and is the younger brother of Ravan.
