A Rajasthan Minister has been alleged of abusing and slapping an engineer of the State Electricity Board. Other employees of the electricity board have held protests in Bundi town, which is located 200 km away from Jaipur, in support of the victim colleague.
The executive engineer of the State Electricity Board, JP Meena has accused Minister Ashok Chandana, who has several portfolios in the newly-formed Congress government, hits Mr. Meena on Monday night.
Mr. Meena continued that “He verbally abused and slapped me. He also held my collar.”
In his complaint, the executive engineer wrote that Mr. Chandana has lost his cool after he knew that a suspended employee had been replaced. He continued that his explanation was rejected by the angry minister.
Mr. Meena told source that “Minister (Ashok Chandana) came and asked why I reinstated a staffer who he wanted suspended. When I tried to explain to him, he said that only his orders will be followed in Hindoli.”
Sitting with his fellow colleagues in the protest, the victim said, “We demand justice, police must take action against the minister.”
