Weeks before the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections, Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal (United), the ally of BJP in Bihar, has clarified that BJP-JD(U) alliance is only limited to the state of Bihar.
National General Secretary of Janata Dal (United), KC Tyagi said that “the alliance is limited to Bihar only and not outside it. Hence the party is independent in all the other states and is committed to working for the propagation of its legacy of the socialist movement.”
On Monday, the national executive meet of JD(U) gave its consign in the creation of a three-member committee, which will be comprised of RCP Singh, KC Tyagi, and Prashant Kishor, for holding initial talks with the chief of respective state units.
Meanwhile, JD(U) has announced the candidate for the independent Lok Sabha seats from Lakshadweep, Nitish Kumar’s party will also explore the option to contest in some of the seats in Jharkhand, Northeast, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan, informed Mr. Tyagi.
