On Wednesday, three convicts including BJP lawmaker, Sampatiya Uikre’s son, Satendra was detained in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandla. They were accused of possessing heroin, reports MP Police.

All three have been detained. During the time of inspection, the police force has seized 41 packets of heroin from them, which were containing a total of 3.380 grams of heroin. Mr. Uikre’s son Satendra, who was detained along with two others, identified as Abhishek and Shahrukh.

MP Police has recovered 17 packets of heroin from Satendra, while 10 packets from Shahrukh, and the remaining from Abhishek.

A senior policeman RRS Parihar said that “a total of 3.380 grams of heroin has been seized. On Wednesday, the driver of a white Honda Brio car sped after seeing the police. We gave a chase and on checking the car we recovered the drug.”

A case has been registered under relevant IPC Sections against the convicts and further probe is underway.
