Today, soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district has exchanged heavy firing along the Line of Control (LoC), reports the Defence Ministry.

A spokesman of Defence Ministry, Lt. Col. Devender Anand informed that Pakistan has started the unprovoked attack, violated ceasefire agreement around 7:30 am in Krishna Ghati and Mankote sectors.

Lt. Col. Anand continued that Pak soldiers have resorted to mortar shelling and used small firearms to aim at Indian soldiers.

However, Indian Army reciprocated simultaneously, he added.
