On Friday, Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai said that there no question of replacing sick Manohar Parrikar as the Chief Minister of Goa arises.
CM Parrikar is undergoing medical aid for a pancreatic ailment at his place after he returns to the state on October 14, following hospitalization at New Delhi’s AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences).
While the state-ruling BJP government has mentioned that CM Parrikar has been looking after the affairs of governance even he underwent medical aid, the state’s opposition parties have occasionally allies in the Goa government, have accused that his health-related leaves were bringing the administration to a standstill.
Today, Mr. Sardesai told the source that he has met CM Parrikar on November 28.
He continued, “I had met the CM while coming back from the closing ceremony function of IFFI (International Film Festival of India) (on November 28). He is fine. Where is the question of replacing him?”
