'Gaumutra' and 'Gobar' Can Cure Deadly Coronavirus: Says BJP MP in Assam - TNBCLive

As the deadly coronavirus continues to spread, health experts are struggling to control the disease. On Monday, a BJP legislator in Assam mentioned an exceptional remedy that may cure the pneumonia-like virus. While taking at the state assembly, she said that ‘gaumutra’ (cow urine) and ‘gobar’ (cow dung) could effectively cure the coronavirus as well as many other deadly diseases like cancer.

Suman Haripriya, during a discussion on smuggling of cattle to Bangladesh, said, “We all know that cow dung is very helpful. Likewise, when cow urine is sprayed, it purifies an area… I believe something similar could be done with ‘gaumutra’ and ‘gobar’ to cure coronavirus (disease),”

The cow is considered as a holy animal in India, and cow dung has long been used by Hindus for various purposes, including in Hindu religious rituals, medicines, manure and even fuel. In Indian culture, cow urine is used for a long time for therapeutic purposes. Haripriya also claimed that the economy of Bangladesh has strengthened on the back of smuggled cows from India, especially Assam.

“Bangladesh is the second-largest beef exporter in the world. All these cows are our cows. Earlier the Congress government did nothing to stop smuggling of cows,” she said. The BJP MLA further said that the river route is being used the most for cow smuggling. She urged the BJP-led government in Assam to monitor the cattle markets in the states as she said, “illegal trading is being carried out by them with most of their receipts being fake”.
