On Monday, four Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists have been encountered in an anti-terror operation in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. Three security jawans were also injured in the search operation in Kashmir’s south district.

J&K Police sources claims that the wounded soldiers have been admitted to a nearby hospital and their condition is considered to be out of danger.
The overnight search operation was launched by security jawans, follows specific information about the terrorists presence in Lassipora area. As the security personnel zeroed in the cordon, they came under fire from terrorists, hidden inside an empty house. In the evolved encounter, all the four terrorists were shot dead.
Four rifles and ammunition have been recovered from the encounter spot.
The anti-terror operation comes a day after a security jawan was wounded in a grenade attack by terrorists in J&K’s Pulwama district. The security jawan, who was posted on ‘Law and Order’ duty had also suffered minor injuries in the grenade blast, reports a police official.
The security jawan has increased that anti-terror operation in the Valley, which follows the February 14’s deadly terror attack in Pulwama, in which more than 40 CRPF jawans have lost their lives and many were injured.
