On Friday, four security personnel, including an officer has been shot dead during an encounter with Pakistani terrorists in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials sources claim that an Inspector of CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), personnel and two police officer of Jammu and Kashmir Police has died after firing started during an anti-terrorism operation in Langate areas’ Kralgund village.

Sources further said that the terrorist, who was assumed dead has emerged from the remainings of a destroyed house and started firing back at security personnel.

Eight security jawans, including a commandant of CRPF, were also injured in the encounter.

Earlier in the day, security forces claim that they had shot dead two terrorists during a cordon and search operation.

On Thursday, late night information regarding the terrorist presence in the area was received by security personnel, following which early morning cordon and search operation conducted.
