Ex-Air Chief SP Tyagi was also accused of VVIP chopper case - TNBCLive

After Christian Michel, the accused middleman in the Rs. 3600 crores AgustaWestland chopper deal, was sent back to India, another accused is subjected in the case- ex-Air Chief Marshal SP Tyagi. However, he has refused to comment on the instead lashed and development out at media for confronting him.

On Wednesday, while speaking to media the suspect Tyagi said that “Who are you to ask me such a question? You can’t disturb me like this. Please be respectful while asking such questions.”

Along with his brother, Mr. Tyagi was granted bail in the AgustaWestland case on September 12. Beside SP Tyagi, the Court had also granted bail to another convict on the same day on a bond of Rs. 1 lakh each and the same amount as surety.

Michel arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday night after being extradited to the country from Dubai and will have to face the Delhi High Court today.

Christian Michel is one of the three middlemen, who is being probed over the charges of organizing brides to raise the VVIP chopper case with decision-makers in India.

AgustaWestland chopper deal involves Rs. 3600 crores contract for the purchasing of 12 luxury helicopter to be used by top Indian VVIPs like India’s President, Prime Minister, former Prime Ministers, and other VIPs as well.
