On Wednesday, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has approved the proposal to offer legal advice and support to veterans and war widows in a meeting, which was attended by the top hierarchy of the Chairman Armed Forces Tribunal and Defence Ministry.

Official sources claim that the existing framework of the Zila Sainik Boards and the Kendriya Sainik Board will assist the Defence Ministry in its effort.

They gladly accepted the decision as it is of great help to veterans and war widows.
