On Thursday, the Jharkhand High Court has rejected a bail petition of the former RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav accused in three fodder scam cases related to multi-crore fodder scam.

On January 4, the court had reserved its order on Mr. Yadav’s bail plea after hearing arguments of his counsel CBI and Kapil Sibal.

The former RJD Supremo is currently in a paying ward of the RIMS (Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences) in Ranchi.

The fodder scam is liked to fraudulent withdrawal of government funds from the resources of various district of Bihar in the 1990s when his party was in power and Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Chief Minister of Bihar.

In December 2017, Mr. Yadav was sent to Ranchi Jail in cases related to the fodder scam.
