In Jharkhand, stone-throwing and clashes broke out between two groups at Hazaribagh when a right-wing group’s procession was passing through the town to mark the demolition of Babri Masjid, on Thursday.
The crowd in the “Shaurya Diwas” procession in the town has burnt six motorcycles and damaged number of cars parked on the street, reports the Jharkhand Police. When the police force tried to intervene the crowd in the procession, the gang certainly started throwing stones at the Policemen.
An eyewitness of the incident has taken a video of the clashes that broke out between the police force and right-wing group, found people throwing stones at police and buildings at the town, located 95 km away from Jharkhand capital Ranchi.
Jharkhand Police reports that they have banned any sort of large gathering in the area to prevent such flare-up. A senior policeman and the district commissioner directly came to the area to control the situation.
More than 12 people have been arrested. In the area, the Rapid Action Force has also been deployed to take the situation under control.
