On Sunday, Border Security Force (BSF) has recovered 17 kg Heroine, one modified weapon, and a Pakistani-made pistol near the Indo-Pak Border area in Ferozepur sector of Punjab.
They have further recovered three magazines and 26 live rounds in the area, reports a BSF official.
The seizure was made during a cordon and a special search operation, which was launched by the BSF personnel after observing certain suspicious movements near the border security zone, added the official.
The BSF official continued that the enhanced vigilance of the BSF personnel has once again thwarted the attempts of the anti-national activists to smuggle illegal items in the country.
In 2018, BSF has totally seized 221.305 kg of heroin till date, near the Indo-Pak Border from Punjab.
