On Tuesday, Congress has alleged BJP government in Madhya Pradesh of failure to address the farmers’ grievances and released what it termed as “Chargesheet”. In the list, Congress has listed the alleged irregularities under the rule of MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

However, the allegation against BJP was totally dismissed by the party’s National VP Prabhat Jha and claims it as an attempt of Congress to grab the headlines and misguide countrymen.

While speaking to media in Bhopal, AICC Media and Communication Chief Randeep Singh Surjewala accused farmers from 24 villagers of the CM’s home district, Sehore, have plea the President seeking permission for euthanasia. Mr. Surjewala continued that four farmers, who committed suicide in the state every day because of farm distress.

He also released a “Chargesheet” against the BJP-led MP government. He claims that all the major illegal works of 15-years long BJP rule in MP were listed in the “Chargesheet”. It also included incidents of rape, poor health services, firing at farmers, theft of children’s scholarship, Vyapam scam, human trafficking, girls kidnapping and “mafia raj”.

Mr. Surjewala accused the BJP-led Shivraj Singh Chouhan government has announced “false figures” on growth and development, irrigation potential, agricultural produce among others.

He also alleged MP government with large-scale irregularities in the implementation of crop insurance scheme and Bhavantar Yojana (a mechanism to give a model price to farmers for produce) among others.
