BJP National Chief Amit Shah said that PM Modi-led NDA government has ensured peace and development in the northeast, which was disturbed by terror activities 5-years ago. He claims that BJP is committed to acting against cross-border terrorism and also to root out insurgency in the northeast.
The BJP Chief claims that “Five years ago, the northeast was in turmoil. There was hardly any development. The BJP has brought peace to the region and paved the way for its development.”
“All parts of the northeast now have air and rail connectivity. In Arunachal alone, the govt has sanctioned Rs. 50,000 crore for the development of roads,” added Mr. Shah.
Citing that Morarji Desai was the last Prime Minister, who used to attend the meetings of the Northeast Council, claims Amit Shah that 40-years later, it was PM Modi who participated in the convention in Shillong.
From Assam to Gujarat, Arunachal Pradesh to Kanyakumari, BJP will form government everywhere, claims Mr. Shah, insisting that the winning streak of the party has started in these states.
Mr. Shah continued, “It is for the first time that the BJP is fighting on all assembly seats in Arunachal Pradesh. Our winning streak started in this region when three MLAs of our party were elected uncontested.”
Three BJP candidates have been elected unopposed in the state from Yachuli, Aalo east, and Dirang assembly constituencies.
2019 Election to Lok Sabha Constituencies and Assembly seats will be held at the same time in Arunachal Pradesh starting from April 11.
