Centre-ruling BJP has announced a total income of over Rs. 1,000 crores in 2017-18 spending more than Rs. 750 crore in the fiscal year.
The income and expenditure of Congress are not known as the party is yet to submit its data to the Election Commission (EC).
As per a report by Election Watchdog Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) released yesterday, a total income of BJP for the year 2017-18 stands at Rs 1,027.339 crore, which is followed by the CPI (M) at Rs. 104.847 crores. Meanwhile, BSP-led by Mayawati has declared its annual income at Rs. 51.694 crores.
Total income of BJP has fallen down by almost Rs. 7 crore as compared to that of Rs. 1,034.27 crore total income, which it had announced in the fiscal year 2016-17.
On expenditure front, BJP has spent Rs. 758.47 crore in the years, which is followed by CPI (M) at Rs. 83.482 crores and BSP has spent Rs. 14.78 crore as well.
NCP (Nationalist Congress Party)-led by Sharad Pawar has declared a total income of Rs. 8.15 crore but has spent Rs, 8.84 crores, as an excess of Rs. 69 lakh earned during this years.
TCM has declared a total income of Rs. 5.167 crore while CPI’s total income stood at Rs. 1.55 crore.
In the fiscal year 2016-17, Congress has earned Rs. 225.36 crore, is left to submit its copy of IT return for the year. The due date for the submission of the annual audited accounts for the political parties was October 30.
