On Sunday, Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee has issued an undivided resolution requested Rahul Gandhi to continue as Congress National Chief.

The decision to pass an undivided resolution was taken at a meeting summoned by Bihar Congress to review the recently conducted election’s results.

Bihar Congress’ media department chairperson HK Verma said that “the meeting unanimously passed a resolution requesting All India Congress Committee president Rahul Gandhi to continue as the party president.”

Mr. Gandhi has offered to quit as Congress Chief on May 25 in Congress Working Committee meeting after poll failure. The CWC had immediately dismissed his offer but Mr. Gandhi was firm on quitting the post.

Mr. Verma informed that the BPCC meeting was attended by Bihar Congress Chief Madan Mohan Jha, and other veteran leaders.

One of the main reasons behind the failure of Mahagathbandhan, of which Congress was a part, is lack of coordination among leaders of the constituents of grouping, he believes.

Mr. Verma continued that there was communication among the top level of grand alliance.

Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee held a meeting with legislature party and district chiefs to find out the reasons behind the poll failure, added Mr. Verma.

It was also held at Pradesh Congress Working Committee level and divisional level as well.

A detailed report will be submitted to Congress high-command after holding review meetings at all levels, said HK Verma.
