Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ignored the opposition attacks to address millions of party workers, amid increasing tensions between India and Pakistan, said that “India will fight as one, India will win as one.” PM Modi mega video-conference was claimed to be the “world’s largest video-conference” by BJP workers and supporters, has been criticized roundly by oppositions in the backdrop of the worst escalation between India and Pakistan in decades.
During the event, “Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot”, PM Modi said that “when the enemy supports terror and acts against India, it is to stop India’s progress. But we must all ensure that we stand together, stand united, stand with our soldiers to ensure we are strong…ensure that no matter what, our progress and our work does not stop.”
PM Modi has interacted with 1 crore party workers and volunteers at the level of election booths, known as “booth workers”, to mobilize them before the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections, scheduled on May.
The Prime Minister continued that “the world is observing our collective will. We have faith in the capabilities of our army. Therefore, it is necessary that there is nothing that affects their morale or allows our enemy to raise a finger at us.”
The centre-ruling BJP has always been targeted by opposition parties, who have alleged it of focusing on politics and elections at a time the government should be worried about the tension with Pakistan.
Ties have plunged and many countries have advised to ‘de-escalation’ of hostilities in the consequences of Pulwama terror attack, in which more than 40 CRPF jawans died by a suicide bomber of JeM. On Tuesday, India has sent fighter jets to Pakistan for the first time since 1971 and destroyed a massive terrorist training camp in Pakistan’s Balakot. On Wednesday, Pakistan took an IAF pilot captive after aerial combat in which the Air Force shot down Pakistani fighter jets.
In an apparent message to his critics, the Prime Minister said that “we must all ensure that we stand together, stand united, stand with our soldiers to ensure we are strong… ensure that no matter what, our progress and our work does not stop.”
“India will stand as one, India will work as one, India will grow as one, India will fight as one, India will win as one,” added PM Modi.
