On Wednesday, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has ruled out his party’s decision to join the TRS government in the event if returning to power for the second term in office.

The Lok Sabha member of Hyderabad said that the TRG would form an individual government and not form an alliance with other parties.

Mr. Owaisi continued that “No, we will not join the government. I am pretty much sure that the people of Telangana will bless KCR (as caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is referred to by many) again. He will form the government. We will not join the government.”

In any circumstances, there would not be any necessity for AIMIM to join the TRS government as they would surely seek a majority of its own, claims Mr. Owaisi at a ‘meet-the-press’ programme in Hyderabad Press Club.

Replying to questions, he continued that both Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi and BJP Chief Amit Shah wanted to “stop” his party in the Telangana Assembly Elections to the 119-members.

Mr. Owaisi alleged that “Rahul Gandhi and Amit Shah are working together against AIMIM.”

AIMIM has secured seven seats in 2014 Assembly Elections in the state and has fielded only eight candidates this year.  He further said that his party would not only secure seven seats but also win in Rajendra Nagar Constituency.

TRS government like BJP will go it alone in the Telangana Assembly Elections, on the other hand, TDP and Congress are a part of the “People’s Front” that also comprises the TJS (Telangana Jana Samiti) and CPI.
