Asaduddin Owaisi Blames Chandrababu Naidu Police Attack On Him In 1999 - TNBCLive

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was behind the police attack on Owaisi in 1999 as he was a campaign for the Congress Party alleged by Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM)President Asaduddin Owaisi.

During MIM election rally in Hyderabad, Mr. Owaisi recalled that police task force personnel assaulted him on September 22, 1999, in the old city of Hyderabad.

However, With both Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Naidu and Congress President Rahul Gandhi targeting MIM during their joint campaigning for Telangana polls, the Hyderabad Member of Parliament or MP hit back at them.

Mr. Owaisi said that the Congress president should know that he took from the police for his party. He further added that Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress leader Vijay Bhaskar Reddy had revealed to his father Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi that the police attacked him on the orders of the chief minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu, as he was to leave for Guntur to campaign for the Congress party.

On the allegation of Rahul Gandhi that he had a secret deal with BJP, on the reply Owaisi wondered how he was nice for Congress when he supported it from 1998 to 2012.

While reminding the Lawmaker also said that the Congress President ha personally went to jail to meet YRS Congress Party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy to seek his party support for the candidature of Punjab Mukherjee in the Presidential election.
