The BJP National Chief Amit Shah has condoled the death of a party MLA in Chhattisgarh’s Naxal attack and claims this act of cowardice cannot stop the ruling party from its commitment to fight against Naxalism.

On Tuesday, the BJP MLA Bhima Mandavi and 4 security jawans were shot dead, when they tried to convoy was attacked by Naxalites in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, 2-days before the first round of national elections in Chhattisgarh, reports police.

Expressed anger over the Naxal attack, the BJP Chief in a series of the Twitter post said, “Such act of cowardice can not deter BJP from its commitment to fight Naxalism.”

Mr. Shah also condoled the bereaved family of the BJP MLA.

His vehicle was blown up with an updated explosive device at Shyamagiri Hills, when the convoy was heading towards Kuwakonda, located 450 km from Raipur, informed source.

After blowing up the vehicle of the BJP MLA, the Naxal outfit has opened fire at the occupants. The party MLA and 4 security jawans were shot dead in the attack, added the police officials.
