After VHP, Shiv Sena holds “Dharma Sabha” for Ram Temple in Ayodhya - TNBCLive

Raising its utmost demand for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray yesterday announced for a “Dharma Sabha” in Maharashtra’s Pandharpur on December 24.

Dharma Sabha” is basically a religious convention, which intended to push its ruling NDA ally, BJP to immediately declare that date for Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya.

Mr. Thackeray told source that “Through the Dharma Sabha, we want to wake up the Narendra Modi government from its Kumbhakaran-like slumber and take up the Ram temple construction immediately.”

He made the remark 10-days after his high-profile visit to the disputed site in Ayodhya and after a meeting with Shiv Sena’s district heads on Tuesday at Sena Bhavan.

Citing to the legal proceedings, the Shiv Sena Chief continued that “The government cannot keep pointing finger at the Supreme Court.”

Mr. Thackery has also urged the government to immediately sort out the issue by passing a Bill in the Parliament, on which he would address the Pandharpur Dharma Sabha.

In the secret party meeting, the Shiv Sena Chief is understood to have tasked his leaders to keep raising the Ram Temple construction issue till it’s sorted out and also to take a review of forthcoming 2019 Lok Sabha Elections’ preparations.

The VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) has said that following its Dharma Sabha on November 25 in the disputed-site of Ayodhya and the forthcoming public election rally in Delhi on December 9, it is not likely to hold any conference but would dedicatedly work for the earliest construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
