After hectic election campaigns in election-bound states- Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Chhattisgarh and Telangana, Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi with sister Priyanka Gandhi and her children went on winter holidays in Hill Station of Himachal Pradesh.
On Tuesday, Mr. Gandhi was accompanied by Priyanka Vada has arrived in Shimla by road to see the latter’s under construction house at Chharabra, reports a local Congress leader.
On their way, they took a stop for a few minutes at a dhaba in Solan district for tea, snacks and Maggi noodles there, he added.
Mr. Gandhi is on a winter holiday, few days after Congress emerged victorious in the Assembly Elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.
When some local Congress leaders got the news of Rahul Gandhi’s presence at the dhaba, they and some women in locals reached there to talk with him.
They congratulated Mr. Gandhi on the party’s victory in all three election-bound states. Mr. Gandhi further enquired the political development in the state, added the Congress leader.
The Congress Chief told them that “I am on a personal visit to Himachal.”
Mr. Gandhi, his sister Priyanka Vadra and her children are staying at a hotel in Chharabra, reports the Congress leader.
However, Himachal Pradesh Congress Chief Sukhwinder Sukhu told the source that “I have no official information about Rahul’s visit to Himachal.”
