Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi was invited by AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) to participate in its mega “Tanashahi Hatao, Loktantra Bachao” rally in the National Capital Delhi on Wednesday to oust the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre , said a senior party leader.
Mr. Gandhi is one of the Chief invitees of the mega “Tanashahi Hatao, Loktantra Bachao” rally to be held on February 13, AAP leader Sanjay Singh informed source.
Mr. Singh said that “Sharad Pawar, Sharad Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati, Mamata Banerjee, MK Stalin, Chandrababu Naidu are among other invited for the rally.”
The mega rally will be attended by all those, who took part in Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s rally early this month in Kolkata, informed Delhi AAP Convener Gopal Rai.
Sources claims with just around two months before the elections, the rally will bring the opposition leaders together in firming up a “Mahagathbandhan” or “grand alliance” to challenge BJP and its NDA (National Democratic Alliance) partners in the elections. There was conversation to form an alliance between Congress and AAP for the Lok Sabha Elections, but the local leadership of Congress is believed to have been against it. As Congress and AAP have been bitter rivals in Punjab and Delhi.
