One died and 32 Indo-Tibetan Border Policemen were severely injured when a bus carrying them skidded off the road, early morning today and fell into a gorge in Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, reports source.
The border police personnel was part of a convoy, which was returning from Budgam to Jammu after the local body elections in the state. 36 people were traveling in the bus when it accidentally falls in a gauge.
The accident took place around 8:45 am in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, added a Policeman.
He continued that 1 Border Policeman died and 32 were rescued from the fallen vehicle and immediately lifted to a nearby government hospital in Ramban.
Trees prevented the accident bus to directly falling down in the gorge, reports source.
A rescue personnel team, which comprising of Policeman, Army personnel and local volunteers are present at the accident spot. Images revealed that rescue team tried to pull the bus up using ropes and other things.
