Forty-four pilgrims from Telangana are stranded for the last 4-days near Hailsa, a town in Nepal. The travel agency from whom the pilgrims were registered forsaken them while returning from Kailash Mansarovar.
Hilsa lies in the northwest part of Nepal and borders Tibet.
One of the pilgrims of the group informs that they were registered with Southern Travel Agency for pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar, begin their journey on June 13.
He was quoted saying, “We reached and visited Kailash Mansarovar. But after that we have been brought to Hilsa, a border area close to Manasarovar, and have been left abandoned.”
He continued, “Southern Travels, who brought us here, has left us and they are not responding to our calls since last four days.”
The pilgrims said that the region, where they have been struck is totally bordered by hills and a few pilgrims are family sick gradually. Especially women pilgrims are facing a lot of trouble.
“I request the state government to help us get back to our homes safely,” he added.
The group of 44 pilgrims belongs to two distinct regions in Telangana.
