Four Police officer was shot dead in a terrorists attack a guard post in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. They were keeping watch on the residential area and were staying inside their guard room when they were shot dead by the terrorists today afternoon. The terrorists other than firing on them also took their service rifles from them and escaped.
Three Police personnel died on spot, and the fourth one, who has received serious wounds was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died out of the injuries during treatment.
Jammu and Kashmir’s Police report that the crime spot has been cordoned off and a search operation have also been launched.
Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah turns on Twitter to condemned the attack and said that “I strongly condemn the attack on the police post in Shopian & condole the deaths of three police personnel in the line of duty. I pray for their souls & for the speedy recovery of those injured in this attack (sic).”
Six Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist is led by ex-Policeman Adil Bashir has left the Police force after sealing eight service rifles from the department in October, were believed of having involvement in the terrorist attack, reports the Police.
