30 passengers injured after bus falls into Gorge in Tripura - TNBCLive

More than 30 passengers have sustained severe wounds after a bus, which was carrying them fell into a gorge on Tuesday in Dhalai district’s Gandachara Amarpur Road.

All the passengers of the Agartala-bound bus were successfully rescued by the state police with the help of the locals and were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital to start the medical aid at the earliest.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb along with other senior officials has visited the accident spot and also at the hospital where the wounded are admitted. CM Deb has enquired about the wounded passengers and declared that the state will bear all their medical expenses.

The Tripura Chief Minister continued, “I pray that these people get fit at the earliest. We will investigate the cause of this accident. All the medical expenditure will be borne by the state.”

As per the report of the doctors, out of 30 passengers, 22 are in a critical state.
