Over 19 members of AIADMK and TDP lawmakers were suspended today for 4-days by the Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, accused of repeatedly disturbing the proceeding of the House.

On Thursday, as soon as the Zero Hour started at noon, TDP and AIADMK members trooped in the well, carried banners, raised slogans with the demand of stalling of a dam on Cauvery River and special state status to Andhra Pradesh.

As their disruptions continued in the Lower House, Ms. Mahajan has suspended 19 MPs of both the parties, TDP and AIADMK.

On Wednesday, the Lok Sabha Speaker had suspended 24 AIADMK members for the five next consecutive sittings for creating ruckus and continuously protesting in the House over the issue of dam on Cauvery River.

AIADMK in total has only 37-members in the Lower House and the Winter Session will conclude on January 8.
