On Wednesday, an old man was sentenced to life imprisonment for continuously raping his 14 years old granddaughter. The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) court, in Kota, has taken the decision.

Kamalkant Sharma, the Special Public Prosecutor said that Girish Agarwal, the special judge of the POSCO Court 2, declared the 70-years-old man to be sentenced and also charged a fine of Rs. 70,000 on him.

Mr. Sharma also said to the sources that the man used to pay for the expenses of the family members of the victim because the father of the little girl had abandoned them. The 14 years old little girl was sexually abused by her grandfather repeatedly since her childhood. She finally gathered the courage to open her mouth against the man.

The 70 years old man was sentenced to life term till natural death, by the Court in Kota.

In October 2015 the complaint was lodged by the directions of the court. Mr. Sharma said that the grandfather was legally arrested after an initial investigation.
