On Sunday, three civilians, including an 11-year-old girl, were badly injured when Pakistan Army forwarded posts and shelled villages during a ceasefire violation along LoC in Poonch District of Jammu and Kashmir, reports an official.

A Defence spokesperson said that “at about 1930 hours Sunday, Pakistan army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation starting with firing of small arms followed by shelling with mortars along Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch Sector.”

He continued that the Indian Army has retaliated befitting.

While Pak’s firing and shelling, the victim Maryam Bi was badly injured in Kanote Forward Village and porter Akbar and Razia were wounded in Shahpur Forward Village, said the officials.

It continued that all the three injured have been hospitalised.

On Tuesday, Pakistani Rangers has violated ceasefire, targeted border outposts at International Border in Kathua District’s Hiranagar Sector, prompted BSF (Border Security Force) to retaliate effectively.

On Monday, an army personnel was also shot dead and three others were badly injured in firing and mortar shelling by Pak Army along LoC in Poonch district in Salotri Forward Village.
