Today, four Maoists were shot dead in an encounter in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. A gunfight broke out between a special unit of CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) and Maoists early in the morning.
The gunfight started from 6 am when a CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) unit was in a search operation inside a deep forest, located around 1km from Bimapur in Jagargunda area.
A CRPF official said that “Four bodies of Maoists in uniform, one Insas rifle, and two 303 rifles were recovered.”
The specialized unit of the CRPF official in guerrilla tactics and jungle warfare continued with deep combing of the forest area, he informed.
Suddenly, the gunfight started and four Maoists were encountered as well.
