On Wednesday, RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav said that he would soon be visiting Delhi to make arrangements for the release of his father Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is serving a life sentence in several fodder scam cases.
With a state-wide protest, Mr. Yadav has staged in all districts by the activists of the party’s youth wing, in protest against the misuse of CBI and framing RJD Chief in cases, which pertain to his tenure as the Bihar Chief Minister.
Mr. Yadav claims that “Lalu Yadav has been wrongly framed in cases. The CBI is being used by the BJP government for political ends. It is also using its political clout to ensure that he is not released on bail as his coming out at the time of elections will energize forces opposed to the BJP.”
“But this is not going to go on for long. I will soon be leaving for Delhi and make arrangements for his release,” added the former Bihar Minister.
He had lately begun to take an active interest in politics has given up his earlier waywardness poor speculations of a rift with his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav and made the statement that as long as Tej and Tejashwi are there, RJD will remain intact.
Earlier this week, Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav had triggered speculation of a rift when he claims that he was not averse to assuming party leadership if RJD offered him a chance.
Rumors have been heard for some time that he is uncomfortable with the growing popularity of his younger brother, Tejashwi Yadav, who is at present the opposition leader in the Vidhan Sabha and has already been declared as Chief Ministerial candidate by RJD for the forthcoming Assembly Elections.
