Today, the National Investigation Agency has ordered separatist Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to appear before NIA for interrogating in connection with the Jammu and Kashmir terror funding case. After the Pulwama terror attack, all the separatists are going through repression and in this situation, the Centre has assured to adopt a zero tolerance policy for all the separatists. He has arrived Delhi this morning.
During the raids in February, a letter was seized by the investigators which stated that Rs. 5,000 was given to a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative. It is likely to say that he will be questioned related to the case. In 2017 an assistant of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Shahid Ul Islam was destained by the investigating officers who found accused of helping the LeT operative on Miraz Umar Farooq’s orders.

The lawyer of Umar talked to the NIA and said that he is ready to cooperate in the investigation but demanded to get questioned in Srinagar. Earlier, the NIA had questioned many other related to the terror funding case at Humhama in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district.
