A security personnel died of burnt injuries after a fire broke out at a government building, which houses various important government offices in Central Delhi. Today, early in the morning the devastating fire broke out. After inhaling the smoke, a security personnel was immediately lifted to a nearby hospital for medical aid. 25 fire engines were sent to the incident spot near the busy Barapullah flyover in Lodhi Road.
The flame has been brought under control, which broke out on the fifth floor of the Pandit Deendayal Antyodaya Bhawan, at Social Justice Ministry’s office.
A little after the fire department was alerted at 8:30 am.
After inhaling the smoke, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) sub-inspector became senseless and was taken to the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
Many government offices, including Water and Sanitation Ministry, a branch of the Indian Air Force, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and Forest Ministry are housed in the Antyodaya Bhawan, CGO complex.
The building that got fire was called Paryavaran Bhawan till 2016.
