On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi to meet the parents of victim Achutyanand Sahu, cameraman of Doordarshan in Balangir district of Odisha.

On October 30, 2018, Mr. Sahu was killed in a Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh. He and his two colleagues were to cover the Chhattisgarh Election in Maoist-affected Dantewada. All of them were accompanied by a patrolling team.

Two policemen were also shot dead in the Maoist attack, which took place in the forests in Aranpur village in Dantewada.

PM Modi is in Odisha for a day visit to launch a number of projects worth more than Rs. 1550 crore for the development of the state.

Electrification of Jharsuguda- Vizianagaram and Sambalpur-Angul lines, an introduction of the doubling of Balangir-Deogaon, and Barpali-Dungaripali Railway Lines, flagging off a new train on Balangir-Bichhupali route were also among some of the projects, which he will initiate today in Odisha.
