Irritated over being challaned, three people including a union leader of an auto-taxi driver, accused of being thrashing a traffic police constable near New Delhi Railway Station, reports Delhi Police on Thursday.

On Tuesday last night, the incident took place when the 33-years-old traffic police constable Satish Kumar was returning to his home after duty from Ajmeri Gate point in a DTC bus.

The DTC bus has reached the New Delhi Railway Station at 9:45 pm, the three accused men boarded the bus. The traffic constable has already informed the state police that the union leader has pointed towards him and said, “He challenged our taxes so we have to teach him a lesson.”

The traffic constable was then beaten by the three accused men, who later fled from the spot, added the victim.

Following the incident, Mr. Kumar has registered a complaint at Kamla Market Police Station against all three of them.

Delhi Police reports that efforts are being undergone to nab the convicts.
