On Tuesday, the newly-appointed Home Minister Amit Shah has presided over a meeting of top ministers including External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.   

The top ministers were closeted over an hour in the Home Ministry, said the officials.

Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Commerce and Railways Minister Piyush Goyal were also present at the meet.

The meeting is likely to have discussed the issue related to crude oil supply and rising prices of it.

Officials from the Ministry of Petroleum and Finance along with NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant were also present in the meeting chaired by the Home Minister, added source.
