On Wednesday, the Delhi High Court has rejected a petition challenging the proposal of AAP Government to offer a free metro ride for women.

A justice-bench comprises of Chief Justice D N Patel, and Justice C Hari Shankar has diminished to entertain the petition, claims there is no matter in it and force a cost of Rs. 10000 on the petitioner. 

Delhi High Court has further rejected the plea in the petition seeking cut of fares and make 15 slabs of ticket price instead of existing 6 slabs.  

It continued, “Fixation of fares is a statutory provision and it depends on several factors including cost which cannot be determined in a PIL.”
