Delhi Court has granted bail to Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, who is accused in defamation case registered by NSA Ajit Doval’s son Vivek Doval against him and The Caravan magazine for an article published in January 2019.

Besides Mr. Ramesh, the complaint was also registered against The Caravan and the article author.

In the complaint, Mr. Doval has said that the magazine and Mr. Ramesh had held a press release repeating the allegation levelled by The Caravan. It had attempted to “deliberately malign and defame”” him to “settle scores with his father.”
