India has been acting with formality despite “grave provocations” but if attacked, Indian will deliver a solid reply that the initiator will be unable to forget, said Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, in an enfold warning to Pakistan.
Mr. Naidu made the remarks after launches a corpus of 95 speeches delivered by Indian President Ram Nath Kovind during his second successive year in office.
VP Naidu was quoted saying without naming any country, “In spite of grave provocations, you must be seen in the recent past, we are not doing anything, but if somebody attacks, we will give a reply to them which they will not be able to forget for the rest of their lives.”
He continued that this should be understood by everyone, including the provocateurs.
He made the remarks amid rising tensions between Pakistan and India after New Delhi has announced to scrap Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, which offered “special status” to Jammu and Kashmir and further decided to bifurcate the state into two separate Union Territories.
