On Tuesday, Air Marshal Harjit Singh Arora took charge of office as Vice Chief of the Indian Air Force. 

Mr. Arora was commissioned into the fighter stream of IAF in December 1981. 

He has a vast experience of operational flying on the legacy and modern fighters in the IAF inventory.

Before taking charges of office as IAF Vice Chief, Mr. Arora was Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the South Western Air Command at Gujarat’s Gandhinagar.

He has held various key positions in the IAF, Director General of Air Operations and Director General of Inspection and Safety.
