On Monday, a Delhi Court has remanded Susham Mohan Gupta, an accused middleman in Rs. 3600-crore AgustaWestland VVIP chopper case to judicial custody till April 20.

Mr. Gupta was produced before the Special Judge Arvind Kumar on the expiry of his 2-day Enforcement Directorate custody.

On March 26, he was detained a day after the court has allowed Rajiv Sexena, a Dubai-based businessman and another accused middleman in the deal, to become an approver.

Over his disclosure statement, which Mr. Saxena has submitted to the ED revealed that Interstellar Technologies, an organization that has received AgustaWestland kickbacks, was controlled among others by Sushen Mohan Gupta.

He had also presented two diaries, some loose sheets, pen drive, and other documents, all were related to Mr. Gupta.

According to the Enforcement Directorate, Mr. Saxena is involved with a co-assured, developed the global corporate structure, which laundered money for payment of bureaucrats, politicians, and IAF officials to influence the contract for the supply of 12 VVIP choppers in favor of AgustaWestland, which is helicopter manufacturing and design company, based in Rome.
