AAP to contest in Punjab’s all 13 Lok Sabha seats, no alliance - TNBCLive

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that AAP will contest in all 13 Lok Sabah seats in Punjab and would not form an alliance, report source on Thursday.

Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) national convener Mr. Kejriwal said, “We will fight on all Lok Sabha seats from the state, we will not enter into any tie-up with anyone.”

Mr. Kejriwal went to Bathinda to attend AAP party’s legislator’s wedding ceremony, said, reporters.

He lashed out at the Punjab ruling Congress and accused the party of failing on all fronts.

Mr. Kejriwal accused that “He (Amarinder) had promised to give a job in each family. He had said if anyone is unemployed then he will be given unemployment allowance, he had talked about raising social security pension, waiving debt of farmers, promised smartphones to youths. Only tall promises were made, but none have been fulfilled. He spoke lies and now people of Punjab are fed up with them.”

Mr. Singh and CM Kejriwal had promised to eliminate problems related to drugs out from the state, but the issue is still creating trouble in the state.

Mr. Kejriwal further accused the Congress government of failing to act accordingly on Justice Ranjit Singh Commission’s inquiry report about the incident of religious sacrilege in Punjab.

He stated, “Justice Ranjit Singh Commission report puts the Badals in the dock. Despite this, Capt Sahab is not taking any action against them. No FIR has been registered against them because they are hand-in-glove… People are finding a viable alternative in the shape of the AAP.”

Mr. Kejriwal earlier in the day attended the wedding ceremony of AAP MLA Rupinder Kaur Ruby from rural Bathinda. He was also accompanied for the visit by his deputy, Manish Sisodia.

Opposition leader of Punjab Assembly Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann, Harpal Singh Cheema and AAP’s MLA Aman Arora were among opposition party leader, who attended the wedding ceremony of MLA Rupinder Kaur Ruby.
