On Tuesday, the Congress accused the Aam Aadmi Party of hiding something by asking why AAP legislators are not disclosing their assets to the Lokayukta. Abhishek Singhvi, the Congress spokesperson raised a question saying that where the other people are ready to disclose their assets to the Lokayukta then why the AAP MLAs are not ready to do so claiming that they may have something to keep secret.

Mr. Singhvi told the reporters, “As the Lokayukta has said if judges and other people are submitting their details, then it is very difficult to believe that MLAs are refusing to do so enmasse, as if they are under some kind of a general instruction or direction or diktat,”

“There is an Act. There is a Lokayukta. The Lokayukta is appointed in consultation with the state government, I do not see any reason why this is not being done. There is only one reason I can think of… that they might have something to hide,” he added.

In Delhi, 50 Aam Aadmi Party MLAs on Monday refused to show the details of their assets and liabilities to the Lokayukta replying that the ombudsman has no jurisdiction over the matter.

suspended AAP legislator Kapil Mishra and BJP’s Vijender Gupta and Manjinder Singh Sirsa have already furnished complete details of their assets and liabilities to the Lokayukta.

Mr. Singhvi also demanded that the Center should make it compulsory for all MPs and MLAs to submit final assets and that they will support it.
